How to Make Flowers Last
As chief stew, you should think about how to find the perfect flowers for your yacht, how to make them last.
The goal of basic flower care should be to make your fresh cut flowers last longer - which is no easy task when you are cruising around pretty hot places . Freshly cut flowers should arrive at the end of a weeklong charter, if you treat them well.
Begin with checking the flowers daily. Cut the tips of the stems at a 45-degree angle to help drink the water. Drain off the old water and replace it with new water every day, making sure to clean the vase as well.
The best Flowers to Choose
The exotic flowers (Orchids, Strelitzia, Heliconia, Guzmania, Gloriosa) and greenery (Philodendron, Alocasia, Palm leaves) last longer, that is why they are often preferred for yacht floral decoration.
